(Redirected from O'Bean)
Jump to navigationJump to searchBorn in Chile, the son of an Irish engineer and a Chilean heiress. A child prodigy with a genius for mechanics, by his fifteenth birthday he had already invented new mining, farming and war-machines. These, along with new power sources and engines, were to transform the world, enabling the poorer countries to realise their potential, but eventually leading in The Land Leviathan to a world war.
It had been thought he had committed suicide at the outbreak of war, but at the time Oswald Bastable was attached to the army of General Cicero Hood it was learned he was working for the Australasian-Japanese Federation, believing the New Ashanti Empire posed a grave threat to the world.
