"The problem with Mr Newman is that, to me, it still bears traces of the copy-editors idiocies. It's the story which was totally rewritten by another hand -- an over-zealous copy-editor who was used to making Jim Moffatt coherent and did some horrendous things to the story, which was written in one draft, no copy, so I had no original to check it against. I restored it as best I could, but I'm still not sure of it."[1]
